Holidays........don't you just love them. We have just returned from our Austrian Epic or as Dawn would have subtitled it, Climb Every Mountain, and boy what a country. We stayed in a lovely small town 30mins from Innsbruck called Neustift. The scenery all round was stunning and once on top of the mountains was quite breathtaking. In fact at the top of the Mutterberg 10,000ft up Dawn was complaining of altitude sickness and demanded oxygen !

We did plenty of walking and climbing including a 900ft trek up to the top of the Elfer which was right across the valley from our hotel, walks along the valley floor to Milders. We caught a bus to the cable car station at the base of the Mutterberg and took the 3 lifts to the sumit then climbed up to the new 360 degree observation platform. We drank Steigl beer and ate paprika crisps and had a wonderful time. Try Austria, we'll be going back, thats for sure.
